Helping ITV Studios communicate its plans for future growth
Our client, ITV, is the largest commercial television network in the UK. With a team of over 4000, ITV operates a family of terrestrial and digital TV channels, delivering content across multiple platforms such as itv.com and ITV Player. ITV Studios is their successful international production and distribution business, producing and selling programmes and formats in the UK and worldwide.
ITV Studios UK is playing a key role in the ongoing progress of ITV’s Transformation plan, implementing changes which will promote further creative and commercial growth and strengthen their position as the creative hub at the heart of ITV. As well as creating fabulous shows, ITV Studios is evolving the way its production business operates.
TYL has had an existing relationship with ITV since 2012 through an internal communications review, implementation and interim leadership of the Group internal comms team. Studios HR Director David Osborn asked us to manage the communications for the changes in Studios.
In practice this meant communicating changes to the way the Studios business is organised as well as some improvements to day to day processes to teams across the Studios business and colleagues across ITV Group.
Suzannah Jones and Laura Kingston from our core team of internal communications specialists worked in ITV to create a communications strategy and plan, manage and deliver the communications for the programme. They worked closely with the Studios leadership team, programme resources from Boston Consulting Group and the Internal Communications team.
ITVS extended TYL’s support into 2014.
