Quartet Community Foundation has continued making grants to help communities in Bristol and the surrounding area throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
In 2020 our fund managed by Quartet provided £695 to their Coronavirus Response Fund. With the support of fund-holders like the ICT, Quartet has distributed over £2 million to help local communities since the crisis began.
Grants have included supporting a temporary, in-house food-bank to support a local housing association’s most vulnerable tenants, crisis services for rough sleepers and people living in temporary accommodation, and an advice organisation providing urgent financial support and advice to low income families.
Aid Box Community (pictured) received a grant towards purchasing of non-perishable food and essential living and baby items for distribution to self-isolating destitute refugees and asylum seekers in Bristol.
Many small charities and community organisations in the region seeing new demand for their services are at risk of collapsing without the income they rely on from community cafes, charity shops etc which now have no customers. The Internal Comms Team is proud to be playing a small part in supporting local communities during this crisis.
